SZABIST's 2nd National Research Conference on Management and Business
The second National Research Conference on Management and Business (NRCMB) is going to be organized by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST). This is a sequence of the first NRCMB conference that was held in December 2015. The theme of second Conference is “Building Bridges between Industry and Academia”. It aims at identifying issues and finding their solutions for the industry. It also emphasizes on the liaison between corporate-industry and government-academia sectors. Therefore, the theme broadly covers the management of public, private, commercial and non-profit sectors of the economy through intervention of academia.
It is expected that the conference will be attended by CEOs, heads of national and multinational companies, policymakers, government officials, representatives from the corporate and social sectors, development experts, academicians, researchers, economists, financial analysts, personnel from NGOs, human resource development professionals and trainers, and PhD/ MPhil/ MS level scholars.
A number of Research papers will be presented in parallel sessions of the Conference. The selected papers will be published in the Journal of Independent Studies and Research (JISSR) of SZABIST. The conference comprises of two tracks: Academic Track, and Corporate Track. The academic track includes Indigenous Industry Problems, Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Family Business, CPEC- opportunities and Challenges, Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Goals. The Corporate Track comprises of presentations of renowned experts on business and economy-related issues. In addition to these two tracks, a workshop on research will also be organized in order to develop analytical skills of budding researchers.
The Conference brings in contemporary issues, practices, challenges, and opportunities for the business and management environment of Pakistan. The discourse will focus on theoretical and empirical knowledge of the various domains of management. There will be meaningful implications for managers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and policy makers from various sectors. It will also provide academicians an opportunity to find out real indigenous industry domains for their academic work.
